Hi,
Got this in my mailbox today:
----------------BEGIN---------------------
Dear anime fans!
Edinburgh University is once more holding a mini anime convention and we would like to invite you all along! We will have rooms with the latest anime, console and DDR gaming, competitions, registration and helpdesk and a chill out room. Each attendee will get a welcome pack and there will be events all day as well as two films in our huge theatre in the evening. We will also have tons of prizes to give away as well as a raffle. The basic details are below:
Date: Saturday 18th February 2006
Time: 11am - 11:30pm
Venue: Pleasance Societies Centre, Pleasance, Edinburgh
Cost: £5 pre-reg/£6 on door
(deadline for registrations: Tuesday 14th Feb)
If you're thinking of organising a group coming to Edinburgh, we will be happy to help and advise in any way we can. Just send us an e-mail. ^_^
Travel:
Most trains come in to Edinburgh Waverley station, and the con site is 10-15 minutes walk away. The coach station is also in central Edinbugh and only 20 minutes walk away from the site. There are many cheap airlines flying to Edinburgh from all over the UK and there are frequent buses running from the airport to Waverley Station from early until late. Also, Glasgow Prestwick airport has many cheap flights and it takes about 1 1/2 - 2 hours to get to Edinburgh.
Accommodation:
Edinburgh has a very good tourist information office (by Waverley train Station) who are really helpful with finding accommodation.

However, there are several backpacking hostels located around central Edinburgh not far from the con site or the train and bus stations. They have dormitories of varying sizes so it should be possible to book a dormitory for your group only.
