I thought that too get the ball rolling on this forum i would review the latest Buffy book that i have read. In The Darkening is a alternate ending to season 6, picking just when Williow has skinned Warren, and the first difference in the book is Willow sticks around to talk with the rest of the Scoobs. It then continues along the lines of the last episodes, with small differences until Giles and Willow start their fight. Buffy has been sent from the Magic Box before, and so is coming from the front of the shop rather than the training room when the balcony is collapsed on Giles. After this things change dramatically, Willow sets up a warehouse HQ, while Giles is confined to a wheelchair. We see the return of some old characters, some fun as Buffy, Dawn Xander, Anya and the disabled Giles attempt to fight Willow and her newly formed coven. This is the first book of the trilogy, and I am looking forward to reading what happens in the next two books, especially after the epilogue of this book. 4.5 Stars
EDIT Edited this post to correct the title of the book
